The first step is to create a new collection. You start this process by either clicking on the New button on the toolbar, or by selecting New from the File menu. The New Collection dialog is where you set up the basic features of your collection.

Type a name into the Name field. This will become the folder name for the new collection.

Next, you need to select a location for the new collection. Press the Browse button. This will present a tree-view of the files on your computer. Choose a folder, and press OK.

By default, the catalog name is the same as the collection name. You can change this, if you wish. Pick a catalog style from the choices on the lower right. The default catalog style will show each font in a three-line sample.
